A chasing after the wind

You are hurrying to the sweet place,
To the nonsense chasing your spirit
And in the nonsense you look for answers

Dejan Stojanovic, Circling: 1978-1987

I miss your footprints next to mine,

On the beach after a wine and dine

And every time I look back,

The absence of your footprints,

Reminds me of how short life is,

The water came up to the shore,

And washed every proof that,

You once were physically there.

For a short while…

Just a little while,,,

The world celebrated you for your greatness,

And in a blink of an eye;

You were but a memory for the few who had chosen,

To hold you my dearest close to their heart,

See my love,

That temporary high you’re chasing

Is vapid and not worth it,

You’re dying thinking you’re living,

Slowly, not all at once,

It will occur to you,

What Solomon described,

In days of old as,

A chasing after the wind.
